We know that by taking a sustainable approach we will work more efficiently and reduce waste, which makes both commercial and environmental sense.
We have operated to a 14001 Environmental Management System since 2000, and we have set ourselves some ambitious targets to keep us focused.
Waste Management
As with many property/construction businesses, the greatest environmental impact of S&W operations comes from the waste we produce. But we’re working hard to reduce our impact.
Working in partnership with Countrywide Waste Management we report on the waste across all our projects, giving us 100% traceability. We report this information to our clients through our Waste Management Dashboard.
We are currently working with WRAP to halve our waste to landfill by 2012 and eliminate our landfill use altogether by 2020.
