48 Weeks

Appointed to deliver the refurbishment of a Grade II listed building to house a fertility clinic for CARE Fertility, the programme was split into hases in to maintain a live clinical environment and ensure minimal disruption. The project included significant demolition and structural works as well as temporary clinical areas to keep the clinic operational.

The team created several clinical areas including new laboratory facilities, procedure, transfer and recovery rooms, embryologist labs, a donation office and 8 high specification patient bedrooms. The old reception was removed and the area was refurbished with consultation rooms, offices and toilets.

Existing features were retained and protected. Internally, features included coving and picture rails, some of which were protected and  replaced to match the existing while the external façade of the Victorian building was decorated, restoring the listed frontage.

The team were able to perform a medical shutdown and install a temporary power supply to enable uninterrupted power whilst a new power supply and UPS system were installed.
