On Sunday 10th July 2016, a team of colleagues took on the Manchester to Blackpool
bike ride challenge in aid of The Christie Charity.

The team of 8 was Tony Lenehan, Richard Croll, Paul Lonsdale, Mike Williams, Gina Charnock, Jamie Hunter, Lois Oliver and  Rebecca Crossley.

The ride started from the Imperial War Museum at Salford Quays and took the riders along the scenic country lanes of Lancashire, to finish on the South Promenade in Blackpool.

The fastest finishers were Paul Lonsdale and Tony Lenehan who completed the ride in 4 hours and 20 minutes, followed by Jamie Hunter at four hours and 35 minutes, Rebecca Crossley at 5 hours, Gina Charnock just under 5 hours and 30 minutes and Lois Oliver at 6 hours. Richard Croll and Mike Williams not only cycled to Blackpool but also rode back again and got to Manchester at 7.30pm.

Well done to everyone who took part. The total raised so far is a massive £900. If you would like to sponsor the team and contribute to this great cause, can do so by clicking on the JustGiving link below.
