Tesco has appointed integrated property services and project delivery specialists Styles&Wood to deliver a major refurbishment of its Loughborough Extra store.

The Group’s Projects Unit will carry-out a 10-week scheme at the store, which will remain open throughout.

The internal and external works will include upgrading the store’s lighting, chillers, freezers and shelving, refreshing its car park, replacing existing signage and carrying out landscaping work.

Tony Lenehan, chief executive officer at Styles & Wood, said: “Tesco is continuing to invest in refreshing and enhancing its portfolio to make its stores even better for customers. We’re proud to have enjoyed a long-term relationship with the business and to be engaged for this significant project at the Loughborough store.”

“Momentum continues to build in the retail refurbishment market and the group’s skill set in design, space planning and project delivery means we’re well-placed to deliver schemes while keeping stores fully operational.”

“We have reached a position where more than 75% of our annual sales are derived from repeat customer relationships and framework agreements and we continue to focus on building strategic relationships with leading business in the sector.”
